Community Safety

The safety of everyone in Westmount, whether they be residents, visitors, or travelers simply passing through, has always been a primary concern of City Council and the administration. As is the case across the island, police and fire protection is provided by the City of Montreal. Westmounters have also come to depend on the local Public Security Unit, a trained corps of municipal employees responsible for by-law enforcement, parking regulation and a multitude of community safety programmes.

Safety in Westmount is a team effort, and Westmounters can take great comfort with the dedication and expertise of all the officers and personnel stationed here.
