<title>Ad Hoc Cycling Committee Interim Report</title>
      <link>http://www.westmount.org/news_view.cfm?Lang_ID=1&amp;Section_ID=1&amp;news_id=394</link>
<description>The rise in cycling traffic, particularly on the de Maisonneuve bike path, both inside and outside of the park, has created intense discussion concerning the safety of our infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians, the comportment of some cyclists in obeying the Highway Code, and the expectations of the local residents. Coupled with this has been an increasing demand to promote cycling as an alternative mode of transport that is healthy for the cyclist, the community, and the environment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In May of 2010, Westmount City Council created an Ad Hoc Committee to examine some aspects of this matter.</description>
