This NFB documentary explores the little known reality of the reintegration of Ugandan child soldiers into society. The film, in English and Acholi (sub-titled in French), will be followed by a discussion period (in French) with the director, Raymonde Provencher.

This introductory workshop on musical storytelling allows children to nurture their creative sensibilities. They are asked to create their very own story, which they then set to music. While having fun, the children discover musical concepts that are of use to them in creating their musical tale. Finally, through listening activities, the children are asked to identify the various emotions conveyed by the music. The workshop is bilingual.

The Raven & The Rose
Celebrate all things Irish with an evening of music, laughter and fun at Westmount’s only pub, the Raven and the Rose which opens for business at Victoria Hall on Wednesday, March 14 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.
