Parking is limited to four hours on all streets in Westmount, unless otherwise indicated.
Westmount residents who do not have sufficient parking space on their property, including anyone living in an apartment, condo or similar dwelling, may apply for permission to park on the street.
This annual G permit
, which allows parking for 24 consecutive hours, can be purchased at the Public Security Parking Permits office
. You must bring two proofs of residence and the vehicle registration documents. Tenants and condo owners should also bring a letter from the building owner or condo association confirming that parking is unavailable on the property.
Permit fees are:
- $160 annually for the 1st car
- $320 annually for the 2nd car
- $480 annually for the 3rd car
The W permit allows residents to park for 4hours in all 1-hour and 2-hour zones on Westmount streets. The annual fee for this permit is $20. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY ONE W PERMIT IS ISSUED PER HOUSEHOLD.
Please note that these permits DO NOT supersede other parking restrictions, including parking meters, no-parking zones, fire hydrants or temporary signage. ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE PARKING.

Please check your street daily following any heavy snowfall, as vehicles blocking snow removal operations will be towed.
Street cleaning occurs on a fixed schedule and parking is not permitted during the designated periods, which are clearly posted. Check parking signs carefully, as these restrictions are strictly enforced.
