Municipal By-laws

To help preserve the much-valued tranquility and small-town charm evident throughout Westmount, the City pays close attention to enforcement of its by-laws. Each of these by-laws is available for consultation at the City Clerk's Office at Westmount City Hall during regular business hours. If any discrepancies arise between the by-laws provided through this Web site and those kept on file at the City Clerk's Office, the latter shall prevail for all purposes of the law.

Borough By-laws
While the City of Westmount demerged from the City of Montreal on January 1, 2006, many of the by-laws passed by the former borough are still in force. Please refer to the official version of the by-law (which may be obtained at the City Clerk's Office) for all purposes of the law.
